Jahangir Amuzegar (in Persian: جهانگير آموزگار; born January 13, 1920〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Biographical statement: Jahangir Amuzegar )〕) is an Iranian economist, academic and politician.〔()〕 An economist by training, Amuzegar served as Minister of Commerce and Minister of Finance of Iran in 1962-63. He also acted as executive director of International Monetary Fund. Amouzegar holds a bachelor's degree in economy from Tehran University. He pursued his studies and eventually got a doctorate from UCLA.
